Texas Halloween House Decoration

I know, I know. It’s August. How the heck could I already be thinking about Halloween?

Well, I’m not necessarily, but as I’m seeing more and more of my Halloween designs showing up in searches, I figure you are. 🙂

I developed some cute Texas Halloween designs last year – one witchy, one ghost and two pumpkins – that were received well. I’m working on some new ones for this year, but not sure when they’ll be ready.

And since last Halloween, Zazzle has added some new options to help you decorate your house for any holiday. My favorite is the house flag pictured above. Gorgeous large option that will really stand out on your block.

The other two are smaller and require hardware for standing in your yard. But once you buy it for one sign, you might be able to use it for every season and just change out the flag or board. Anyway, they’re a smaller garden flag and a sign like you see for elections or businesses.

All allow for you to personalize with your family name or other message.

A note on the angry Jack o’lantern. I’ve used a graphic there that allows you to customize the colors as you like. So if you want an orange pumpkin on a black background or a lime green and yellow combo (please don’t!), you can do that.

Magnetic notepads for fridge lists

I love to make lists. Seriously, it’s a highlight of my day!

And of course, the most common list I make is a shopping list, mostly for food stuff.

Which is why a notepad right on the fridge is such a great idea. You can write down what you need right when you’re thinking about it. (I’d say you and your family/roommates/etc. except we all know they never do it.)

These magnetic notepads are relatively new at Zazzle. They’re a long thin style at 4.25″ wide and 9″ long. They have 40 pages with a chipboard and magnet backer.

You’ll note I have some radically different designs going on here, but I realized the thing they have in common is they’re all pretty darned girly in style. Not sure if that reflects my personal taste or a subconscious idea that men aren’t into lists and notepads.

Some of these have lines and spaces for checking things off. Definitely built with a checklist or shopping list in mind. The others are more flexible, making them great for phone messages or notes to the family.

The only thing I’m not a fan of with these is you can’t get them without the magnet. I like the long skinny size because it takes up less space on my desk, but plain isn’t an option at the moment.

Brush Stroke Class of 2021 Car Flags

Car flags became hugely popular when we all realized in person graduation ceremonies were unlikely to happen.

The desire to still celebrate your graduate and their accomplishments fueled the drive-by party and just a need to proclaim their accomplishment far and wide.

While I have some that feature pictures, the most popular by far was this cool brush stroke designs in school colors. For 2020, of course. But I’ve gotten ready for the upcoming school year for the class of 2021.

I have them in most of the common school colors with a few with black backgrounds to help the lighter colors stand out better. You can get into the design tool to change the colors up if you like.

(Note that this isn’t a design that you can customize in terms of changing the year. But I do already have them for the class of 2022 if that’s what you need. Working on more years soon!)

The flags are super light, but made with heavy duty double-ply fabric. Attaches to your car with a plastic clip.

Class of 2021 Backpacks

Back to more Class of 2021 items!! I’m sharing the designs I have over at Redbubble today since I wanted to give you a peek at these cool backpacks they recently launched.

Difference with items at Redbubble and Zazzle is you can’t customize or personalize at Redbubble. Sigh. Which means what you see is what you get as far as the design goes. It’s also a lot more steps for me to create the design multiple times to get multiple color options.

Still, I do love the products at Redbubble, and these Class of 2021 backpacks were a lot of fun to design. I have to lay out all the various sections and pieces in advance before I upload, so I don’t always know just what I’m getting until I see it in place on the bag.

While I have a few you’ll see that are just patterned all over, where possible, I’ve created designs that take advantage of the different sections. So there is a main design that goes on the front pocket, then I do a different color or pattern on the main front, sides or pocket. Pretty cool!

Head on over to Redbubble to see all the 2021 and senior backpacks I have in my shop.

Create your travel bucket list

When my niece asked me to go with her on a school trip, I didn’t even ask where we were going. My philosophy is (was) that if I need a passport to get there, I’m ready to go.

(I’ve since changed my tune because as you get older, the strains of traveling in some parts of the world become just a bit more than I can handle. I’m looking at you, squat toilets.)

I’ve been to 24 different countries and still have a ton of places on my bucket list I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing. A few are on the design I’m featuring today!

This colorful travel bucket list is customizable to reflect the places you want to visit. The length of the list varies with the items the design is on. (You can get a ton of places on that suitcase!) And if you want, you can get into the design tool and change the color of the planes and lines as well.

It’s pictured on a passport holder above – totally appropriate – but also on a notebook you could use as a travel journal or bags to use to tote on the plane.

Super Hero senior gift wrapping

If you make it to your senior year, you’re quite the super hero! (OK, I’ll admit it’s more of a heroic effort for some than others. But all graduates deserve the designation, right?)

Celebrate your super hero with this retro comic book style design. Instead of “POW” or “BAM”, the word “SENIOR” is breaking out of a yellow burst of color. The background is blue with sun rays shining out.

Occasionally, I’ve used the burst without the blue background, like on the white wrapping paper shown to the right here. Just a sharp look on its own. I also leave off the rays at times, so you’ll notice brighter blue backgrounds at time.

I think I’ve covered just about every item you’ll need to wrap a graduation gift or back-to-school present with this design. I have wrapping paper, wrapping sheet sets, tissue paper, ribbon, stickers, tags and gift bags.

The same design is available at Zazzle on school supplies and other items, while I have it on more than 80 products at Redbubble, including duffle bags and backpacks.

Seniors Seniors Seniors stickers

As we head back to school, stickers are a great option for decorating up your notebooks, binders, lockers and lunchboxes.

I’ve taken my SENIORS design and created a set of stickers in the various school colors that can be applied just about anywhere you like.

The stickers come on one sheet and you can choose from five sizes of sheet from 3″ square to 14″ square. I have five stickers per sheet. On the smallest size, the bigger stickers are 1.25″ wide, while the smaller stickers are about .75″ wide. Each are just a bit taller than that. As you choose a larger size sheet, the stickers will get bigger.

The material for the stickers is available in glossy transparent – as shown above – and matte white as shown to the right here. They’re cut to the shape of the image and are easily removable when the time comes.

Available in most of the 14 school colors I design in. Note that lighter colors will do better printed on the white than the transparent. And you can go in to the design too to change up the sticker colors as you like. So you can make some red and some black, for instance.

Senior Class Of 2021 Shirts

I have a ton – a ton!! – of different designs for class of 2021 shirts. Most are like the ones you see here where you can customize the year to whatever works for you.

These here are specifically for the last year of school since they include the word senior and a graduation cap. (But I have others that will work for incoming freshmen or sophomores!)

This particular design combines some script and printed fonts for a bold look. You can personalize the design with the year and the school name. Or make that your name if you like. It’s all up to you.

The look comes in a version with a black base suitable for light-colored shirts like the white one above. It comes in the standard list of school like green, red, purple, orange, blue and so forth. The one with the white base for dark shirts comes in gold, silver, pale gray and powder blue.

If you want, you have the option to go into the design tool at Zazzle and customize the colors however you like. Or contact me to make a special request.

Lacrosse neck ties in fun patterns

Neck ties make great gifts, right? And if you’re gifting a coach or lacrosse fan, a tie with a lacrosse pattern on it makes even more sense.

I’ve taken the various patterns I’ve created for lacrosse and applied them to ties at Zazzle.

There are colorful patterns like the one shown at the top here involving stripes and lacrosse sticks. That particular pattern comes in four different color options, including neon pink!

If you’re less interested in fun patterns, check out the simple school color option. It’s a repeating pattern of white lacrosse sticks with a faint stripe in the background. It comes in a ton of different school colors and if you can’t find yours, you can go in and change the background to what you need.

Since it’s a school color, it’s a great choice for a team coach or for the entire team to wear when they head out to away games. (If your school requires the team to dress up. Do they still do that?

The ties are polyester fabric and can be printed on both sides. There’s a small upcharge for the printing on the back, but to me it’s well worth it as otherwise it’s left white and that just doesn’t work most of the time.
