Choir Concert Promo Material

One of my pro bono projects is helping with the promotional materials for the Summit Choral Society summer concerts. I sing with them for that concert each year and have volunteered myself to design the artwork for the event the past few years.

Each year, the main art is designed around the concert theme with feedback from the artistic director and society president. The goal is to create something professional and memorable as there is a lot of competition for time and attention in the area. I sometimes provide options to choose between, but as I get to know the decision makers, I have a better feel for what they’ll like and can come up with a single option I know will work best.

Once the art is chosen, the design is laid out for a large poster, then adapted from there for a full-page flyer and a small postcard. I then create a version to be used on the cover of the program and digital versions for promotion on Facebook and email.

2022 Summer Concert

Art chosen for a light and fun feel to fit the retro vibe of the music being sung. Biggest challenge here was having to recreate the society logo as there wasn’t a high enough quality version for the printing we were doing.

2023 Summer Concert

A new artistic director started this year, bringing a charitable component, which required finding a way to incorporate another name and logo.

2024 Summer Concert

Jazzy music was the focus of this concert, so I wanted something bold and funky as the centerpiece. Had to make it work with components that were suitable for a choir as opposed to a jazz band.
