Presentation template & Slides
This client came to me with a slide deck for a presentation he gave often to different groups. He needed the deck touched up to provide a more professional look along with add some technical touches like videos. He wanted to ensure he could make future updates himself or use the deck to create new versions or presentations.
Template
I started by creating a template deck for him. This included setting up a theme with the appropriate colors and fonts and creating several master slide layouts he could choose from. I added colors to his existing palette of yellows and browns to add some additional interest.
Slide Deck
As shown below, I went through the deck applying the new template. We wanted to ensure there was plenty of room for text that had to be on the slide and generally add interest to the designs. I added in additional pictures generally made the deck more cohesive in look at feel.
Before & After: Section Dividers
One addition to the deck was a definitive style for section dividers to better establish and show the hierarchy of a talk. The dividers used full-slide images to illustrate the point along with the title.
Before & After: Slide Layouts
The deck used some basic slide layouts that tended to make the pictures too prominent, which left text crowded and difficult to read. I set up several different layouts that could be used to provide variety and to give options more appropriate to the text.
Before & After: Color Palette
The deck came to me using only the basic gold brown from the company logo. I added in some variations of teal blue as well as some darker browns to help round out the palette.
