Facebook Covers
For an agency client, I helped managed the social media for one of their clients, a local jewelry store. The bulk of my job consisted of creating art for the accounts and writing the posts. I regularly changed out the Facebook covers as it was a great place to highlight seasons, sales and holidays and keep the page fresh.
Standard
One group of images were the kinds of things that could be used at any time when a fresh image was needed. These included a mockup of a jewelry box with the logo, a group of diamonds and so forth.
Sales and Events
I would occasionally tie the cover images into special deals the store had going on, like discounts on diamond hoops or specials on watches. I also kept an eye on things like monthly birthstones and fake holidays like “wear your pearls day”.
Holidays
I would change out the image for all regular (and some made up) holidays relevant to the area and the industry. For holidays like Halloween or Thanksgiving, the image wouldn’t have anything to do with jewelry but kept to the overall elegant and fresh vibe we had going. For others, I would try to find jewelry images that suited, whether from the store or in my stock libraries.
